Ask Dr. Eldritch began as a weekly web-based advice column, answering the questions posed by superheroes, archvillains, mythical creatures, and ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances. This account acts as the portal to the webcomic version, which launched on September 5th, 2005.

This journal is for the friends and fans of Dr. Eldritch's webcomic. Feel free to post questions or comments about the comic, characters or Ask Dr. Eldritch in general (and to try to win the Virtual Box of Doughnuts in the Easter Egg Hunt). Discussion among contributors is encouraged, but unacceptable comments will not be tolerated. The following types of posts will be summarily deleted:

• Spam.
  
• Comments totally unrelated to Ask Dr. Eldritch.
  
• Shameless self-promotion. There are LJ communities to promote your own comics, artwork, writing or other creations. Post there. Including a link in your signature is fine, if you also have something interesting and germane to say.
  
• Abuse. No harassment, threats, hate speech, slurs, or other abusive content.
  
• Undesirable material. Adult themes or language are not automatically excluded. However, comments deemed unsavory, atrocious or execrable will be eliminated.

Editorial enforcement is solely at the discretion of Dr. Eldritch, who may appear to be arbitrary or capricious in execution of such duties by those who are not as wise as he.
